A trip to Ohio find. This little guy is 3" tall, a glaze test piece. If there is a light black and a dark, this is dark. Probably the forerunner of the lobsterware glaze. Another one on display also made me think Kenwood, a Briar-tone color similiar to the Giraffe & Baby vase. There were a couple other colors I don't recall at the moment. If you have any interest in these they are in Olde Towne Antique Mall in Zanesville, ask for Jeff.
These apparently became production glazes if the OK on the bottom means anything. These are neat collector pieces.
